We have just had a wonderful weekend, this weekend 5 - 7 January 2024. The stay was bought for my Husband and I for our Christmas Present, from our youngest Daughter, so we could all spend some quality time together. When we arrived, we found our eldest Daughter, Son-In-Law and our 2 wonderful Granddogs had arrived just before us. What a wonderful surprise, they all kept that a huge secret from us. We all live in different parts of the Country, so this was perfect enough, however, seeing our accommodation for the weekend was just what made the weekend extra special. Cocketts was truly a home from home. We were surprised at just how much was left for us, included in the package - a guest pack with everyday essentials, tea, coffee, sugar, toilet rolls, kitchen roll, a nice bottle of wine. There was milk in the fridge. The kitchen had washing up liquid, washing up sponge as well as a lot of cooking ingredients. Lovely soap in the bathroom. Really big fluffy white towels and the most comfortable beds. We have stayed in some lovely hotels who don't offer so much!

The house, itself, was laid out really well and very spacious. You can tell the owners take pride in their property, with lovely little personal touches everywhere, really making this feel as though you had walked into a friend's home. We really loved the artwork in the House and in the Games Room. There is absolutely nothing negative you can say about this property, we loved it!

This has truly been one of the most wonderful weekends and places to stay, which is quiet, peaceful, comfortable and a pleasure to be in. We have all had such a fantastic time, thank you so much!

A perfect place for a family gathering and exploring beautiful Suffolk . We spent ten days at Cocketts and loved every minute of it. As soon as you walked through the door the cottage felt warm and cosy. We loved the quirkiness of the old building with its oak beams and wonky floors upstairs. Everything we needed to make the stay comfortable and relaxing was provided.
Being able to wander around the garden and orchard and pick the fruit and collect fresh eggs was a real treat.
Our 18 month old toddler loved the garden and playroom, the Pool table and dart board in the Outhouse entertained the adults too.
We enjoyed spending time walking around Needham Lake and Alder Carr farm but coming back to Cocketts at the end of the day was the best.

We all had a lovely time and the house and gardens were perfect for us and our children. Doug and Alison couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Great communication and welcome pack. Thank you very much, we will definitely be recommending! Andrew

We were only here for a weekend break but I wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful cottage that we instantly felt at home in. Great location as there are some very good walks right on the doorstep. I have already been recommending it to our friends and neighbours.

A lovely cosy warm cottage so easy to relax in, to talk and eat. Beds amazingly comfortable.

The cottage is lovely. It's refreshing to see all the basics and so much more. We recommend the Crown at Stowupland food from 6pm.

Cosy and warm - just what we needed a peaceful and relaxing real after the festive period. We recommend the Four Horseshoes at Thornham; good food and dogs are welcome.

A very comfortable and relaxing stay, the house had everything we needed. the children enjoyed seeing the animal and walking in the mud and puddles. Will definitely recommend to friends.

We have had a lovely stay in Cocketts. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Lots to do around here, Suffolk is great but we didn't;t have enough time. Would definitely come back for more exploring.

We've had a wonderful relaxing time. The biscuits and wine were very welcome after a longer journey than expected thanks to the Dartford Toll. Love the house and gardens, with the goats, chicks and turkeys an added bonus. Log fire was great and very cosy on foggy autumnal evenings. Thornam Magna was excellent for walking and we enjoyed Framlingham Castle and town. Cocketts is a great base for exploring Suffolk. Would definitely come back!

A special birthday celebration for us from Canada, Bristol and Suffolk. A perfect holiday in the most wonderful surroundings.

We've had a lovely stay. Garden is fabulous and Scarlett (aged 8) was thrilled to arrive on the same day as the new chicks were born! Helmingham gardens are beautiful, a short drive away and a good way to spend a couple of hours. The Deli at the Chilli Farm is amazing. We're only sorry that we discovered it later rather than sooner - chilli scones are to die for!

A perfect place to come home and relax - no need to venture far as the beauty is on the doorstep; bunnies, deer and birds in the huge peaceful garden. The children especially enjoyed their bedroom, the playroom and the goats chickens and turkeys.

Lovely cottage for my niece and her bridesmaids to leave from for her wedding, weather was perfect. Gardens lovely, and so peaceful. I enjoyed feeding the animals.
